Chris Shore

DIRECTOR OF MATHEMATICS FOR THE LIONHEART ACADEMIES TRUST

Chris helps lead Mathematics across the Lionheart Trust of schools, working with a dedicated team of teachers and heads of department across each school. Specific projects across Lionheart include:

  • Competitions and challenge days.
  • Shared resources for ensuring appropriate challenge in lessons.
  • A shared vision, and resources for mathematical problem solving.

Alongside his Lionheart role, Chris leads the work of the East Midlands South Maths Hub, which is one of 35 Maths Hubs across England. This is a leadership network of Mathematics education professionals which works with teachers from every phase from Early Years to A Level.

Chris enjoys teaching Mathematics, especially at A Level. He particularly appreciates anything geometrical in nature. His current favourite number is 365, but this is nothing to do with the days in a year. If you want to know why, you will have to ask him!

Anna Hunt

DIRECTOR OF ENGLISH FOR THE LIONHEART ACADEMIES TRUST

Anna holds responsibility for the delivery and content of English provision across Lionheart Trust. She works with leaders and teachers at both a secondary and primary level, as well as teaching at KS4 and KS5 here at Beauchamp. Recent projects have included:

    • The Ruby in the Smoke Play in a Day
    • Classics Club
    • Joint planning days with heads of English across the trust.

Alongside her Lionheart role, Anna is the Leicestershire AQA GCSE advocate and leads teacher CPD for AQA A-Level English Literature B, of which she is an Assistant Principal Examiner. She is also the Lead Assessment Writer (ie writes the questions) and Lead Examiner for the AQA international A-Level English Literature Crime Literature exam. This work in the wider educational community really informs the work that she does at Lionheart schools, both in her role as director and in the classroom itself.

Anna loves teaching English at both GCSE and A-Level. She was literally broken hearted when they took Wuthering Heights off the A-level Curriculum, but teaching Much Ado About Nothing to year 10s and The Great Gatsby at A-Level almost make up for it. Anna believes utterly that teaching English is teaching life itself, and she loves watching students engaging with different times through novels, plays and poems.
